As the February 27th 2023 Number Matching deadline draws near, I’m sure admins across the globe are still working on rollouts or perhaps just bracing for the change. Over the past few weeks I’ve been thinking about how to soften the impact on end users. We as administrators, engineers, and technical professionals some time lose sight of how impactful this change might be to those who don’t see eye to eye with improving security posture.
I think the two biggest ways to handle this upcoming change are: Embrace and Enhance.
Embrace that for some users, this will be a disruption. Enhance by starting your journey to Passwordless Authentication. In an upcoming post, I will give my insight on Passwordless and what makes sense in my mind.
